Bypass Host Registration for 1.2.0



  • is there a documentation on how to bypass host registration for multicast in production environment?

    i found one for older versions.

    This is true. Capone is depreciated in the trunk versions and has been replaced with a better method, but I believe it works in 1.2.0

  • I apologize, I just remembered something that would help you but I never use.

    The Capone plugin allows you to image without registering. Please look into that.

    But there is a way to make registering easier. You can modify the boot menu so that un-registered clients auto-register using quick-registration.

    I’ve never done it myself, because I am [U]completely[/U] spoiled now with FOG renaming computers for me. It’s just easier for me to walk around a lab doing full registration and keying in the computer name.
