Hi,

i’m add some printers shared over network as local printers using “Local Port” and the URI of the printer. In this way all DOmainuser can use this printer. For more details, see http://community.spiceworks.com/how_to/show/2159-printers-install-network-printer-on-local-port-so-all-roaming-and-local-retain

Question: Is there a way to archieve this, using the for printer managment?

If not, does someone no, how to setup this, using the commandline?

      Thanks

Personally I have not had any luck using the command line to add, change, or remove a printer.

I am curious to see how you solve this issue, I normally just add the printers manually (if I forgot at image creation or I didn’t add them to the print manager).

I can not promise anything but I will look into implementing this feature into the new FOG Service. It shouldn’t be overly difficult. If and when I do get around to it, would you be willing to beta test parts of the new service to see if the local port network printers work properly (I don’t have any to test on)?
