This did work in earlier versions, i’m now running version .32

Now Sorted,
The problem came when I had to add a MySQL password, once the root password was set back to blank the scheduled tasks started working once more.
-
Did anyone find out why the sheduled tasks break with a non-blank password?
I changed the password as well, and modified it in fog/.fogsettings and fog/service/etc/config.php but the sheduled tasks do not work -
There seems to be an answer in the old fog forum on sourceforge, as mentioned in the wiki: http://www.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php/Password_Central#MySQL_root_user
but i dont see a way to get this information.
Is there an backup of the old sourceforge forums? -

Did you ever get this resovled as I have a simular issue. This is my first experience with fog and to be honest I rarely use Linux. But got tired of the license hassels with Symantec and it seems Acronis is the same old thing so I wanted to try fog. I also setup DRBL server and Clonzilla but the interface was really crude so I opted for fog. I can do WOL when I do a single task upload or download but to schedule a task never works. Cron is running and I have removed the &$tmp and replaced it with $tmp and still nothing? I am using Ubuntu 12.04 and fog 0.32 , I have also used 11.04 and 10.04 with the same results. I see where people say they use fog but I am unable to make it run at least using the fog scheduler and Cron. Help me please… -
If you set a mysql root password, you have to edit it in the following files:
For the majority of FOG to work: /var/www/fog/commons/config.php
For the Image Replicator service to work: /opt/fog/service/etc/config.php

Hi,
same issue here i edited the files chad-bisd mentioned but the issue is still there…
How to debug that? It seems this problem is older than a year why does no one is fixing it?Is the FOG Project dead?
Making a scheduled image is not possible and the hole sense of the fog installation is questionable.
It’s nice to make images manual but without task scheduling it’s quiet useless for me.Any help for fixing that out would be great.
Also i have a rewritten post_stage2.php here that kicks ass to the ftp connection, after enough testing i will release that for all.
Come on guys lets fix that great FOG schedule thing, help please.

Project is not dead, but the main developers have real paying jobs that take them away from FOG from time to time.
