Latest Development FOG

With 2979 services show up again and I’m able to delete hosts. I run some images to make sure they work as well.
-
2979 sill didn’t fix my issue for imaging and still cant get into hosts section in gui.
-
For 2979 images are working OK for me. I haven’t come across any issues with my test machines.
-
James what are you using for DHCP and are you using undionly.kpxe ?
-
We have our own DHCP server that is separate from FOG. I’m using undionly.kkpxe.
-
Same here . This is what im still getting .
I have a bunch of machines to image to. The server is about to get a baseball bat through It lol !

Just loaded 2980 … sill same issues.
-
Ray,
Do you have multiple storage nodes?
Are you updated at least to 2979 for all (2974 - 2978 had unforseen issues)
-
Tom,
No just a single storage unit on the server. Im running 2980 right now with no luck.
-
Tom,
What’s the 411 bro? I have a bunch of stuff that needs to get imaged.
-
You could roll back to an earlier known-good SVN in the meantime.
-
Sud,
Tom took care of me and fixed it. Fix should be in 2981 release that was just pushed.
Thanks for your help anyways.

SVN 2996 released.
I know I’ve worked on a lot of stuff this weekend. Believe me it’s not been fun for me.
I’m trying to figure out performance issues. I mean 2k + hosts or items on a db is really not that strenuous of an activity for either PHP or SQL, but I’m starting (I think) to narrow in on it.
I’ve removed the ability (for now) to set the host image from the group menu as it takes an extremely long time to load. I will figure out how to re-add it, but for now it’s one of the biggest performance hits especially if you have a group with all your hosts.
Hopefully you’ll all notice the improvements. Especially those of you with lots and lots of rows.

Hi Tom , I know u hear this a million times, but much appreciated. For all the hard work and time u put into this project week in, and week out.
-
ok maybe its just me but I have updated to the latest SVN 3017 and I can no longer select all of the services or an individual one for that matter to activate services on the remote device. it checks the box I click update and then its blank again. change does not stay.
Ideas? -
Do we have any updates to this or am I the only one who is suffering here
I rebooted our server and still not able to change service settings options. -
Sorry think you might need to have a little info.

reminder: the svn trunk is the developer’s work in progress, not a stable release
-
Specifically I try to keep things as functional as I can, but currently I’m trying to iron out some pretty major performance issues. This relates to database calls and such.
Because of this, these few releases may be unstable. I’d recommend, for the time being, reverting back to 2996 (right before my major delve into the performance stuff happened.)
To upgrade back to an older rev, in the folder where you downloaded the trunk you’ll run:
svn up -r <rev# here>
Then run the installfog.sh like normal.
-
Tom, Im familiar, I was hoping to provide you with a little feed back on the issue so you might be able to identify this as a bug / Problem to fix in your next release
