Hi All,

Recently upgraded to 1.0.1 and encountering some issues.
[]We did the upgrade as per the instructions
[
]Changed option 67 to undionly.kpxe
This is the error we are getting when booting to pxe

Configuring (net0 MAC ADDRESS)… Error 0x040ee119 (http://ipxe.org/040ee119)
After this we don’t get the fog menu containing registration, quick image ect.
It just boots to hdd

Any help would be much appreciated.

Many Thanks,
Seb

Rename your old unionly.kpxe and attempt this undionly.kpxe file.
wget -O /tftpboot/undionly.kpxe https://sourceforge.net/p/freeghost/code/1312/tree/trunk/packages/tftp/undionly.kpxe?format=raw
Please post your results in this fassion…

<Manufacturer Model>
<Network controller/model>
Boot 1: # of attempt(s) to get to Fog Menu
Boot 2: # of attempt(s) to get to Fog Menu
Boot 3: # of attempt(s) to get to Fog Menu

Example:
Dell D610
Broadcom Controller
Boot 1: 1 of attempt(s) to get to Fog Menu
Boot 2: 1 of attempt(s) to get to Fog Menu
Boot 3: 1 of attempt(s) to get to Fog Menu

Hi, Thanks for the quick reply
Using this version of the file makes it hang permanantly on a screen listing

client mac
guid
client ip
sub mask
dhcp ip
gateway ip

Dell 3010 & 7010
Both have Realtek Controllers
Boot 1: 1 of attempt(s) to get to Fog Menu
Boot 2: 1 of attempt(s) to get to Fog Menu
Boot 3: 1 of attempt(s) to get to Fog Menu

Hi Seb,

Perhaps try the other files located on this thread for the same issue: http://fogproject.org/forum/threads/040ee119-error-on-boot.10493/

I currently have the same problem but others have found solutions within the files provided.

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion. I will upload some photos and then try the suggestions in the other thread.

The first photo with the 0x040ee119 is with our origional undionly file
and the second listing the clients details was with the one suggested in the first reply to this thread.

I will go ahead and try the other ones…

Seb, for your systems, I’d recommend trying the undionly.kpxe.INTEL in place of the undionly.kpxe:
mv /tftpboot/undionly.kpxe.NOWORK
wget -O /tftpboot/undionly.kpxe http://svn.code.sf.net/p/freeghost/code/trunk/packages/tftp/undionly.kpxe.INTEL
Hi, thanks but this command doesn’t work.

It’s coming back with a 404 not found with that url.

This file (https://mastacontrola.com/ipxe.kkpxe) errors out the first try, but produces the fog menu on the second try.

I will continue with the others.

Thanks again.

Sorry, I’m currently upgrading my Virtual Host system at the moment, so the website just went down. It’ll be back up in about 20 minutes or so I’m hoping.

Hi,

Suddenly stopped working.

Made no changes but it now errors out 4 times again.

I will maybe wait for your website to be back up to get the intel version.

ah, i have tried this file now.

It’s still coming back up with the 040ee119 error and then boots after 5 or so attempts.

I previously had luck with https://sourceforge.net/p/freeghost/code/1312/tree/trunk/packages/tftp/undionly.kpxe?format=raw

But it suddenly stopped working after an hour

I seem to be having issues like this also but I have yet to produce an actual error code - usually it just goes straight to trying to load from the HD - I have tried a few of the other undionly.kpxe files with the undionly.kpxe.INTEL - I saw the fog UI for about 2 seconds before it disappeared and tried to boot the HD.

I tried the file at (https://mastacontrola.com/ipxe.kkpxe) and it came up saying
Could not start download: Operation not supported (http://ipxe.org/3c092003)
PXE-M0F: Exiting PXE ROM

Not sure where to go from here but it looks like you guys are looking into it so Ill just be patient 🙂

Oh machine I am trying to work with right now is a Lenovo B575e Realtek ethernet - server is Ubuntu Server 14.04 and FOG 1.0.1

Small update - I used the undionly.kpxe file talked about here (http://fogproject.org/forum/threads/040ee119-error-on-boot.10493/) and I was able to get my Dell Inspiron All-In-One 2330 to the FOG UI and quick registration done but after a reboot it is back to saying the same Operation not supported.

I will try that to make sure I have but I am pretty sure it was one of the many I tried (most of them listed I have tried)

I am just lost at this point - one of the machines restarted for a Image upload task I setup and uploaded the image but during any subsequent restarts I still can’t get the FOG UI window up on that machine or any others…I did try the undi file you listed and still no luck. It seems to just work when it wants. I give up for the day.
