Hi,
Thanks for the suggestion. I will upload some photos and then try the suggestions in the other thread.
The first photo with the 0x040ee119 is with our origional undionly file
and the second listing the clients details was with the one suggested in the first reply to this thread.I will go ahead and try the other ones…

Seb, for your systems, I’d recommend trying the undionly.kpxe.INTEL in place of the undionly.kpxe:
mv /tftpboot/undionly.kpxe.NOWORK
wget -O /tftpboot/undionly.kpxe http://svn.code.sf.net/p/freeghost/code/trunk/packages/tftp/undionly.kpxe.INTEL
-

It’s coming back with a 404 not found with that url.
This file (https://mastacontrola.com/ipxe.kkpxe) errors out the first try, but produces the fog menu on the second try.
I will continue with the others.
Thanks again.

Sorry, I’m currently upgrading my Virtual Host system at the moment, so the website just went down. It’ll be back up in about 20 minutes or so I’m hoping.

Hi,
Suddenly stopped working.
Made no changes but it now errors out 4 times again.
I will maybe wait for your website to be back up to get the intel version.
-
It’s already back up.

Sorry I made a typo, and have corrected it above. The link to get it from should be:

http://svn.code.sf.net/p/freeghost/code/trunk/packages/tftp/undionly.kpxe.INTEL
ah, i have tried this file now.
It’s still coming back up with the 040ee119 error and then boots after 5 or so attempts.
I previously had luck with https://sourceforge.net/p/freeghost/code/1312/tree/trunk/packages/tftp/undionly.kpxe?format=raw
But it suddenly stopped working after an hour

I seem to be having issues like this also but I have yet to produce an actual error code - usually it just goes straight to trying to load from the HD - I have tried a few of the other undionly.kpxe files with the undionly.kpxe.INTEL - I saw the fog UI for about 2 seconds before it disappeared and tried to boot the HD.
I tried the file at (https://mastacontrola.com/ipxe.kkpxe) and it came up saying
Could not start download: Operation not supported (http://ipxe.org/3c092003)
PXE-M0F: Exiting PXE ROMNot sure where to go from here but it looks like you guys are looking into it so Ill just be patient
Oh machine I am trying to work with right now is a Lenovo B575e Realtek ethernet - server is Ubuntu Server 14.04 and FOG 1.0.1
-
Small update - I used the undionly.kpxe file talked about here (http://fogproject.org/forum/threads/040ee119-error-on-boot.10493/) and I was able to get my Dell Inspiron All-In-One 2330 to the FOG UI and quick registration done but after a reboot it is back to saying the same Operation not supported.
-
there are several versions of the undionly.kpxe file mentioned in that thread. which one did you use? i think the current recomendation is 1312
wget -O /tftpboot/undionly.kpxe https://sourceforge.net/p/freeghost/code/1312/tree/trunk/packages/tftp/undionly.kpxe?format=raw -
I will try that to make sure I have but I am pretty sure it was one of the many I tried (most of them listed I have tried)
-
I am just lost at this point - one of the machines restarted for a Image upload task I setup and uploaded the image but during any subsequent restarts I still can’t get the FOG UI window up on that machine or any others…I did try the undi file you listed and still no luck. It seems to just work when it wants. I give up for the day.

I have tried every config file on the other thread now with to no avail with our various dell PCs, the one that has been recommended (1312) works intermittently.
I really do love fog, and it has been a MASSIVE tool here at our organisation. But we may have to roll back to 0.33 build.
-
what model dells have you been having problems with? perhaps we can get other people testing with the same models
-
I have quite a few, all produce the same intermittent issue with the menu.
We have the following models
Optiplex 3010
Optiplex 7010
Optiplex 390
Optiplex 380
Optiplex 760
Latitude E6420 & E6500All the other features of fog work well, we are still capturing and deploying images across the network and just enabling and disabling the boot option in dhcp as and when we need it. (Havent tried any win8 or multipoint 2012 image captures yet, always failed on .33)
-
what OS is your server?
checking around the office, we have used the ipxe boot method for, at least, the 3010,7010,390, and E6420 of those -

When you say “roll” back to 0.33 build, do you mean the revision where it was still known as 0.33? I would say that’s likely not going to work in your situation.
Reason being is 1312 IS the undionly.kpxe that was being use.
