Dell Optiplex 740 will image to about 18%, stop imaging then try to boot WINDOWS 7

Basically trying to create a Windows 7 Pro 64-bit on a Dell Optiplex 64-bit machine. It goes to image, runs through the 1st partition in about 3 secs, goes to the 2nd, gets to about 18% acts as if it finished imaging, boots to HDD and goes into Win7 startup repair. Ideas?

What kind of image did you use for the upload(single disk/part resizeable, multipart single disk, raw, etc), what version of FOG are you on, and what is the OS for the server?

As BPSTravis asks, what version of FOG are you running? What OS are you running? Has this image worked in the past? Are you uploading from the machine, or downloading to the machine? What’s the imaging type? (Single Disk, Resizable, Multipartition Single/All, or RAW).
Have you tried other kernels? Could it just be this particular image is corrupt?
Sorry to interrogate in such fashion, but it’s hard to help troubleshoot the limited information we see here.

I’m using 0.32 FOG, Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, I have done a multi partition, single disk image. I have ran the upload and it goes fine but when I go to image a PC is runs to about 18% and reboots.

Are you completely certain that the system you are uploading from does not have a corrupt OS/partition or a failed/failing hard drive? I have had Fog be very… forgiving for failing drives.
-
I think I’m at that point now, I’m just going to boot and nuke it and start from scratch.
-
I’d also verify that all GPT data is removed from the harddrive. it’s possibly just a corruption of partition table information rather than a data corruption issue from the actual uploaded image.

We had issues on the 740s as well with fog .32. Before we had to leave the computers on bios version 1.1.3 and use a specific kernel. I don’t remember exactly which one but now that we are on fog 1.0 it doesn’t seem to matter for the kernel. I haven’t tried with an updated bios yet.
