    Image Upload says complete but image is only 2.2GB

      Good afternoon everyone, I’m using Ubuntu Desktop 13.04 with fog .32 and have been using it the last year and a half or so and not many issues.

      But now all of a sudden when trying to upload an image it gets to about 9%, then says “Image Uploaded” and restarts/shuts down. Then when looking inside /images/ the image just uploaded is only 2.2GB(when total image size is about 45gb)

      I have the latest 3.8.8 kernel and the machine is a Lenovo M77 running win7 64bit and uploading with Multi Partition/single disk, just weeks ago I was able to upload and deploy to the same model of machines.

      Anyone have any idea on reasons for this? Been pulling my hair out last few days trying to get a few labs reimaged. Thanks in advance!

        Hi, same problem to me
        I tried with some kernels (3.8, 2.6, and with a “home made kernel” based on 3.2), but i got always the sames results.
        Tests realised with a Intel Xeon 1245V2, 16GO Ram, software raid1 (mdadm) and ethernet bonding.

          How are you setting up your image in the Web GUI? are you selecting the correct OS version? What are you selecting for the drive type?

            Windows 7(id 5) and multi partition/single disk/non-resizeable

                  While I know this issue doesn’t seem to be related to kernel, maybe an updated one will help?

                  Test it, if it doesn’t work oh well.

                  The other question I have to ask: Are the machines you’re uploading the image from by change Virtual?

                    We just installed a new Fog server and migrated everything over so no longer having issue on new server. Thanks for your help everyone!

                        My guess was it was a password/permissions error. We were trying to get multicasting working(still isnt on the new server, another can of worms) and we made lots of undocumented changes(whoops!)

                              It really helps with teaching other staff to use the FOG server too, some people need their hand to be held, others just need the basic information. I like to accommodate both.

                                [LEFT]It was an incorrect NFS version protocol in use, can you check what version is actually used by this command : nfsstat ?[/LEFT]
                                [LEFT]If in return you get something like that : “Server nfs v2:” you have to change it to version 3, that solve the problem to me…[/LEFT]
