This is an amazing deal, you get a Meraki MR12, the Power Supply, and 3 years of the cloud management license. This is a $700 deal. I spoke with a rep just a few minutes ago, because I wanted to MAKE SURE the power adapter was coming with it, and the rep informed me that not too many people are taking advantage of this opportunity.

I also wanted to let you know that you can attend as many of these webinars as you like, but you only receive the device for the “first” time you sign up and watch the webinar. Make sure you use your corporation email address, you will receive confirmation, and enter a valid phone number, a rep will call after the webinar, and if they do not speak to you, you do NOT get your device. The webinars are about an hour long, so please plan accordingly!

      ENJOY YOUR FREE MERAKI!!!

P.s. the rep said that we can purchase the poe injectors for a small fee after the webinar, she did not discuss the cost of the injector though.

the link is here -> http://meraki.cisco.com/freeap

The offer is limited to those who work in the IT field and you have to have a corporation email address to apply, but the device is yours and you can give your personal shipping information. I completed my webinar yesterday over the Cloud Management System. Everything seems to be going to the cloud… maybe fog can have a cloud presence some day too 🙂

There are some restrictions so please read the instructions and pay close attention, those of you that do not reside in the US.

I got a meraki t-shirt from the TCEA Sysadmin and Tech support conference last year. Meraki seems like a really neat company and their products are impressive. We were already in the migration from Juniper/Trapeze to Aerohive though, so I didn’t get any free AP’s.

By the way, Aerohive has some good AP’s and they are cloud managed also with the option to host your own management server if you want.

Noted! I hadn’t heard about them yet.

So far I’m really enjoying the management and control I have over my clients via the cloud! The MDM is pretty sweet too, god knows I hate touching that Apple Configurator UGH!

It looks like this will be our tool of choice, especially since they are teamed with Cisco and practically every device in the district is Cisco! I hope they start a cloud management ability for their future lines.
