@mardonis200 Where exactly do you see this error? Which Linux OS and version do you use? Also post the full content of the configuration file used.

Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)

@mardonis200 This all looks good. What seems to be the problem? Is there a specific error you see?

This message is just a notify message: Failed to set DNS configuration: Link lo is loopback device.

when I boot vm guest and choose from FOG menu either:

              “Perform Full host registration …”
              or
              “Quick Registration …”

I get black screen with blinking cursor.

              Thanks.

@mardonis200 If you get to the fog ipxe menu, then dnsmasq has done its job. Once at the fog ipxe menu dnsmasq is out of the picture. Selecting a menu item will have iPXE transfer bzImage and init.xz. Do you see this transfer or just the flashing cursor?

What computer is causing this problem? Is it just a specific model or all models?

                  I see transfer of bzImage & init.xy.
then see black screen with blinking cursor.

physical host: Dell Latitude E7270 laptop
running fog server on VirtualBox. in “bridged adapter” mode
running ubuntu 22.0.4 client on VirtualBox in “bridged adapter” mode

                  Thanks.

@mardonis200 Please try other physical machines. As well increase the kernel log level to 7 in the FOG settings (web UI).

Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)
