    Hi all,

We are using FOG for imaging laptops used for AV hire. We have different images for each machine due to licensing.

These machines need to be re-imaged after each hire to remove any client data along with restoring it back to a base state. These are ad-hock rather than a regular time.

This kind of worked before using a scheduled task on a group. This would fire off every night at midnight. This for some reason had some of the machines scheduled but without an associated image so would get stuck. No matter if I rescheduled the task would it pick up the correct image.

I tried to create individual scheduled tasks for each machine to check they had associated images but it appears that once an image has completed it then wouldn’t reschedule even though it is still listed under the scheduled tasks window for every night (using the Daily/Midnight preset).

We want to be able to let the warehouse plug the machines into the network (only used for FOG) and then they are set to boot from network as a first priority. They then check in and restore their image. This is then re-scheduled every 24 hours to stop the machines from going into a loop of imaging. The warehouse team then check licenses before sending them on the next job.

Any ideas on how to accomplish this? Any ideas why some of the group members would always schedule without an associated image?

    Many thanks!

@premier Sorry for the long delay. I suppose this is a bug but I have not had the time to look into this. It’s on the list though.

May I ask you which version of FOG you use?

Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)

@premier Turns out this was a bug in the code. This is now fixed in latest dev-branch version. With the new official release on the door step your should update to 1.5.10 as soon as it’s out.

PS: If you’d kept up the topic and offered more information we might have been able to fix this way earlier.
