i created an background with the exact same size like the original (i opened the original in photoshop and deleted everything to create a new one) but it dont work
original bg.png = 21,7 KB
my bg.png = 19 KBthe normal bg.png works fine, but if i usemy special bg its only black
have anyone an idea how i can test it?

@noobFogger Quoting from the iPXE documentation:
If a background picture is used then the width and height may be omitted; the console size will then be chosen based on the size of the background picture.
So I am wondering what width and height you used in your PNG? Are you sure you saved it as PNG format?

sure
yes i am sure, i removed the fogproject logo and pasted my own logo into the original bg.png image, after that i saved the edited bg.png as bg2.png with photoshop and moved it on the ubuntu server (/var/www/fog/service/ipxe)… can anyone send me an custom background .png that i can test it?
i installed fog 1.5.9 with the kernel 5.10.71 (62 bit) on an raspberry pi (ubuntu server 21.10) and the capture and deployment works fine … i know that ubuntu 20.04 LTS is recommended, but the USB/SSD boot doesnt work with the Pi for me and i dont want to use a SD card. In ubuntu server 21.10 i had to change something in ~/fogproject-master/lib/ubuntu/config.sh -> “php-gettext” to “php-php-gettext” -> is maybe that the reason?

http://boot.ipxe.org/texture.png
https://ipxe.org/_media/logos/ipxe-large.pngBoth are used for testing by the iPXE team and should work. Though I have to say I have not tested those myself lately.

No, definitely not.
