Has anyone successfully got a image to take on a Lenovo Gen 2 E15
I can get the image to take and show done in fog but laptop will never boot to windows
I have change the Host EFI Exit Type and tried all of themEdit: It seems like since i have upgrade from 1.5.7 to 1.5.9 none of my other desktop computers will take a image either they error out half way through ( may need to create another tread on this )

Well, how far does it go? Imaging is finishing fine but up to which point does it load after the reboot?

@sebastian-roth It goes all the way to fog screen and loops on Boot for hard disk option

@sebastian-roth I am wondering if it is because the image i am deploying to the Gen2 E15 was captured from a E15 Gen1 Legacy and the Gen2’s are UEFI.
Would this cause the issue? If so how can i convert the Legacy image to UEFI? -

Would this cause the issue?I would say so! Well, try this, change boot order from network boot to boot from local disk after the deployment. Does it boot to Windows?
If so how can i convert the Legacy image to UEFI?
I think there are tutorials on how to do this on the web but from my perspective a clean fresh UEFI install is worth doing instead of dragging along such a converted legacy BIOS install.

Hi,
this seems to be a kernel issue, i cannot get any E15 to work without the dock connected twice with a network cable. The internal nic isn’t working after PXE boot, if it’s trying to boot in to FOS it won’t work until you connect the USB-C Dock with a network cable too.
I was trying several kernel’s since months but nothing. Any idea howto fix it?

To be able to help we need more than this information. Please take a video or series of pictures of the boot process up to the point where things go wrong and post here.
As well we need to know which version of FOG, kernel and inits you currently use.

@sebastian-roth Hi Sebastian i was able to fix my issue with compiling my own and latest ipxe.efi binary: https://forums.fogproject.org/post/145594
I had this Problem for months and also with Lenovo P15 devices, now with the new ipxe.efi i don’t need to use a dock anymore to deploy them, before i had connect the devices nics twice, onboard and the one from the usb-c dock because while booting tftp it uses the internal and since it drops into FOS it used the one from the Dock.
But this is an old story now
I am still using FOG 1.5.0, it works fine for us even with the new Windows 11 seems to be really similar to Windows 10 Imaging, even my nice tricks for sysprepping Win 10 also work for Win 11 thanks Microsoft
Is reading the SLIC from Bios still in the current releases of FOG? I have a nice customisation from Tom running in my current installation:

Sorry, but I don’t know what this is about. Probably best of you open a new topic on this.
