FOG SSD Problems
-
I uploaded a fog image to my fog server and everything went as expected except for when I try to deploy the image to a client. When I deploy the image it goes through the deployment proceedures and no errors are displayed, but when the client computer restarts it boots up and says that is “Missing operating system”. I’ve tried mulitiple different deployments but nothing works. The client computer has 60GB Intel SSD. The image originated from another 60GB SSD. The server is running Ubuntu 12.04 and the FOG is version .32. Can anybody help me out?

What OS are you trying to deploy? How many partitions? What image type did you select when you uploaded the image? Did you sysprep before you uploaded? Did you chkdsk or defrag? Don’t go out and do these things just yet, I’m trying to get an idea of where we are before we begin.

We currently run Dell E6430s with SSD’s and have no problems with imaging. Have you verified that you are using the correct drivers with with your image? Other than the drivers, all the other questions that Chad-bisd asked needs to be answered as well.

solution for me was to use multiple partition single disk image. ssd’s have a hidden partition.
