        ensp0s25

I can’t to seem to associate the driver name with a nic.

First lets get some background info.

        1. What version of FOG
        2. What version of the FOS Linux kernel (i.e. bzImage) are you using
        3. What is this target hardware (model and mfg)
        4. Are we in uefi or bios mode on this target computer
        5. Is the network adapter usb or physically attached to the computer?

        Next steps.

        1. I want you to cancel any current pending tasks. Then schedule a new capture/deploy doesn’t matter, but tick the debug checkbox before you hit the submit button.
        2. PXE boot the target computer. After a few screens of text that you need to clear by pressing enter you will be dropped to the FOS Linux command prompt.
        3. At the FOS Linux command prompt key in lspci -nn | grep -i net if the network adapter is physically built into the device or lsusb if the network adapter is usb based.
        4. Post the results here

Please help us build the FOG community with everyone involved. It's not just about coding - way more we need people to test things, update documentation and most importantly work on uniting the community of people enjoying and working on FOG!

I tested with another pc client (Dell) I do not have the problem anymore except:

            could not found /dev/sda3

do you have an idea of the cause

            Thank you

@jeremyvdv Well I’m sure you did not solve the problem on the HP system, but in the case of the Dell, if its in uefi mode AND the disk controller is in raid-on mode then the disk subsystem will be hidden from linux. It won’t be just /dev/sda3 it should be the entire disk /dev/sda.

@jeremyvdv Please take a picture of the error and post here.

Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)

The typical problem in the Dell firmware the disk controller mode is configured for Raid-ON even if the computer only has a single disk. Go into the Dell firmware (BIOS) and change this mode from Raid-ON to AHCI and then test imaging. You can leave the disk mode in AHCI mode without a problem.

This isn’t a hardware issue or a FOG issue, but you have bitlocker enabled on that target computer. This is a warning from FOG saying that a partition is protected by bitlocker. If you were to clone this disk, it would not boot on the new target computer because the tpm chips are different.

Disable bitlocker on all disk partitions and attempt to capture again.

That’s what I understood also yes but the problem is that bitloker is not activated.
Bitlocker can be activated from the bios?
Because on windows it is not

thanks a lot for your help

                              @jeremyvdv Try this:

                              manage-bde -status
                              manage-bde -off C:

my capture is in court it’s good.

It was necessary to disable the hibernation of the hard disk.

I still have the problem on my hp for DHCP FAILED

IF you have ideas … I test everything in bios

@jeremyvdv OK for the HP lets take these steps.

                                          1. Cancel any current tasks if imaging is still setup.
                                          2. Create a new capture task, but before you hit the schedule task button tick the debug checkbox. Then schedule the task.
                                          3. PXE boot the target computer like you are going to image it.
                                          4. After several screens of text on the target computer that you must clear by pressing enter key, you will be dropped to the FOS Linux command prompt. You may see the error messages again from your last picture but the system will continue to the command prompt.
                                          5. Key in the following and post the output picture here.
lspci -nn | grep -i net
                                          6. Remain in this debug mode because there maybe additional commands based on the answer provided in the picture.

What this command does is print out all of the network interfaces that the HP has onboard. It will also give us the vendor and model numbers of the network adapter. We can then use those numbers for debugging.
