We’ve identified that the client has to be uninstalled and re-installed on all existing machines so it will grab the new cert. however what i cant figure out is why my uploads to the database are failing.
here is a snip from the log file for Apache

[Mon Sep 30 10:47:47.143776 2019] [proxy_fcgi:error] [pid 1988] [client 172.31.178.10:53788] AH01071: Got error ‘PHP message: PHP Warning: ftp_login(): Login incorrect. in /var/www/fog/lib/fog/fogftp.class.php on line 464\n’
[Mon Sep 30 10:47:50.593180 2019] [proxy_fcgi:error] [pid 2415] [client 172.31.178.10:53790] AH01071: Got error ‘PHP message: PHP Warning: ftp_login(): Login incorrect. in /var/www/fog/lib/fog/fogftp.class.php on line 464\n’

now I’ve verified the user account and password work for FTP as i can connect tot he FTP with the same credentials but i see no files listed at all. and I still get this error…

    somewhere i can look?
Tom Elliot has not been online to assist. can someone else?
maybe i dont have my linux enviroment configured correctly?

    Thanks
    Bill

When you created the new server, did you copy the original servers /opt/fog folder over to the new server?

Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)

I have the folder but do not think I did… it also had me set it up from the trunk install into the /root/fogproject.

I can verify this but didnt want to break it. should i run the installer from the /opt/fogproject directory again then copy my folders over?

            @Bill-Rice
You are safe to run the install in /opt/fogproject as needed.

            I’d suggest

            1. Copy the current /opt/fog/.fogsettings file to /root/.fogsettings
            2. Delete the current /opt/fog
            3. Copy the original server’s /opt/fog to the new server into /opt/fog as well.
            4. Copy the /root/.fogsettings to /opt/fog/.fogsettings file.
            5. Rerun the install to be on the safe side.
