Well we need a bit more info than you provided.

        1. Please provide a clear screen shot of the error taken with mobile phone.
        2. Is this a fog native menu item or did you create a custom fog menu item and that is causing the chain loading error?

Lets start with a picture of the error so we can see the context of the error message.

@brendojohnso Now we can start to debug this.

I take that 10.127.1.11 is your fog server?

If so I want you to open the following url on your browser.

            http://10.127.1.11/fog/service/ipxe/boot.php?mac=00:00:00:00:00:00

This should give you the fog iPXE menu. I’m going to suspect this will also throw a http 4XX error. Which will point to something going wrong with apache. Then we will need to inspect the apache error log to see what it is having an issue with.

it says a valid database connection cannot be made
which is where I get confused as the server is receiving all proper connections otherwise

@brendojohnso So you are able to use the FOG web ui without issue?

@brendojohnso well you now know the problem.

can you login into mysql client? mysql -u root fog? from the fog server linux console screen?

Please open a new thread because your conditions may be different than this OPs.

Please include what version of FOG you are using, what linux distro that powers your FOG server and a clear picture of the error you are seeing.

                          @george1421 Hi,

I have exactly the same problem0_1535372560385_P80827-142109-07.jpg
When i try to reach web interface i get “Database connection unavailable” and when i try to reach “http://10.149.20.67/fog/service/ipxe/boot.php?mac=00:00:00:00:00:00” i get " "A valid database connection could not be made"Database connection unavailable "

Just get back from holidays, i have a snapshot of my FOG 1.5.4 on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS took just before holidays and had no problems at this moment. When i go back to the snapshot everything work fine like 10-15 minutes then seems something in the web server is crashing.

If someone have an idea it would be great because i don’t want to install the server again.

                          Regards.

@Sebastian-Roth Hi, Yep and it was very helpful for me, just execute the last command after coming back to the snapshot and all is good now :-).

Thanks a lot to Tom Elliot for this post.

                              Have a nive day
