The past two images I tried to capture have captured successfully but the job never completes in the task list. The image in the list shows the proper size but says invalid date. If I check the imaging log the start time is correct but the end time is way off.

@shad0wguy Looks like it may have been an issue with the AD integration on the NAS I have set up as my storage node. The user account I have set for fog wasn’t able to authenticate.

@shad0wguy What version of FOG are you using? Also, can you check your apache error logs and post any you find here please?

Version 1.5. Just updated to 1.5.2. Haven’t tested with that version yet.

In the apache logs I see an ftp incorrect login error, though I didn’t get an error when capturing the image.
ftp_login(): Login incorrect. in /var/www/html/fog/lib/fog/fogftp.class.php on line 463

@shad0wguy Did you happen to change the linux user fog’s linux password at any time? That linux account is a service account used by and managed by FOG. Changing that password or incorrectly setting it in the webgui would cause a ftp error message just after imaging. It would also cause the task to never complete in the fog task list.

@george1421 I did not change the fog password. How can I confirm the password for that account? Can I try logging into the Fog server as that user?

@shad0wguy yes you can test it. The linux fog user’s password should be found in the hidden linux file of /opt/fog/.fogsettings look for the password= field. Then attempt to login from a windows computer using ftp to your fog server with user fog and the password you collected from the .fogsettings file.

If that works then you need to check in the web gui to ensure that matches whats in the .fogsettings file.

@george1421 I should note that I have a different host set up as the storage node, so I’m not sure the settings in the .fogsettings file would apply.
