So I have kind of a nightmare problem. All my servers think they are a single host. So if you image one, whatever one reboots first will get imaged. When you put a new machine on the network, it will look like it is already registered. It is like all the machines mac addresses are the same. I cant get any new machines registered and I cant image because it will push to all the machines as they restart. Essentially everything acts like one computer. I have no idea how to solve.

      I am running Fog 1.5 -RC8

      Thanks,

      Colin

@wayne-workman, @george1421 it is possible if the uuid for these hosts are the same. Which rc 10 should fix.

Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)

First I would say, make sure you upgrade to the latest RC10.

I don’t think that is your problem, but the devs will request you do that anyway so they can help.

What I find strange is why all of your target computers have the same mac address? How is this possible?

          1. What kind of servers are we talking about here?
          2. What OS are you running?
          3. Are these physical servers or virtual?
          4. If these are windows servers, was the master image ever connected to AD before it was captured?

There is something going on here beyond what you posted.

@george1421 said in FOG thinks all servers are a single host.:

Exactly what I was thinking - I really don’t think this is physically possible within this universe.

I updated to RC 10 and it fixed the issue.

What I said was “It is like…” it seemed “like” it couldnt tell between the different mac addresses.
