      Server
      • FOG Version:
      • OS:
      Client
      • Service Version:
      • OS: Window 7
      Description

I had to change the Ip address of the Fog Server, I followed the documentation and changed it to the new ipaddress, however the clients are still looking to the old address (10.129.88.8) for something. Sorry I’m new to using fog so don’t fully understand it. Screen shot below. The new address is 10.129.88.9

I found out by myself that changing the ip adress after the installation is a lot of trouble. do you have the possibility to setup a new server with the correct ip adress? this is way easier.

otherwise it would be helpful if you would tell us wich steps you were following.

        greetings

@justeverything Thanks I can’t go back to the old ipaddress as it is now on a new telephone system.

changed the ip address I followed the wiki article changed the fogsettings address, and then logged on to the web portal and changed everything there.
Bit of a learning curve as just using the vi editor was something I haven’t used in many years as I have been dealing solely with Windows platforms.

Would love to get this backup and running otherwise I will probably start from scratch on a different platform.

@justeverything Wayne’s scripts does an excellent job of correcting all of the places where the IP address is hard coded.
