 Fedora 25 Server - FOG Version: 1.3.4 svn 6066
- OS: win7
 Client : optiplex 7040 - Service Version:
- OS: windows 7
Descriptionsetup the fog server and got it working.
the images sits on a hard drive which is not on the fog server.
Imaging works without a problem joining the domain. joining the domain.Today we tested that wake on Lan and the multicasing . To start with - The wake on Lan task worked without a problem - clicking to the client and from the right menu clicking on power management and choosing WOL and perform immediately - BOOm it worked. Then we tested the multicast - again the pcs will come up but the image will not installed we go the message : “Partclone v0.2.88 http://partclone.org
starting to restore image (-) to device (/dev/sda1)”And its just stuck and not moving,
The task is running on the fog server. We did some troubleshooting :
firewall is down, stop and restart the fog services , we add the broad cast ip to the hostfile and the 127 ip.The main issue that I am wondering if anyone can help with is :
The wol worked without any issue and at one point it just stopped . any ideas? Thanks
 Avi

@ozraelised said in Multitasking and wakeonline: starting to restore image (-) to device (/dev/sda1) Hi, Have you checked your multicast log ?

@ozraelised While I can only guess. I might inspect the log in /opt/fog/logs to see if the multicast log there can provide any clues.

@ozraelised I should probably have read more into this thread, Fedora 25 at the moment has issues with rcpbind, it doesn’t even run the installer correctly. It’s an official bug, and I think the Fedora devs are swamped at the moment (think they are secretly working on RHEL 8).
