Image a machine without PXE

I have a question:
I have a few laptops that does not have a wired network card but have WIFI and also only uses UEFI.
Is there another option to get and image on them If PXE boot is not available?

This is typically handled with a usb to ethernet adapter that is supported by the uefi firmware. The surface pros use a dock that has a built in ethernet adapter. The Dell XPS’ will boot with a Dell usb to ethernet adapter, so will the lenovos with their own adapter. You can move the adapter between devices, you just need one that the hardware supports.
Now if you can’t get one that is certified to work by your hardware manufacturer, there is another way if you have a generic usb to ethernet adapter. You can build a usb boot stick to start the pxe process.

So I have the Dell USB device. But trying to use it with a Toshiba machine. Do I need to turn on the legacy options or just leave it with UEFI . When I turn on the legacy and try to boot it say not a valid boot device.
And leaving UEFI on it does nothing. it does not recognize it.
Where can I find the instruction to create a USB boot stick?

Don’t let the title scare you. Its not really that hard. What you will do here is create an iPXE boot stick that will launch you into the iPXE FOG menu. The only thing that you need to be concerned with is the iPXE kernel have built in usb support for the generic network adapter.
If that process fails we can build a FOS usb boot stick and bypass iPXE altogether.
