I’m not able to get the SP4 Type Cover working with ipxe7156.efi. If keyboard input is required (such as hitting enter after removing/plugging in the USB ethernet adapter), nothing happens. This works fine with the SP3 Type Cover on both SP3’s and SP4’s.

Anyone have any suggestions? @Testers @tom-elliott

Is this specific to iPXE only?

Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)

@Tom-Elliott Yes, I believe so. Keyboard input works on the Fog menu (I was able to auth to do an image task).

@MRCUR Then no, it’s within the kernel. I’m aware of potential issues but I haven’t a good means to fix them at this point. If you have a usb keyboard, within the FOS system, you should be okay.

@Tom-Elliott Unfortunately I don’t have a USB hub so I’ve been using the SP3 Type Cover for our SP3’s & SP4’s. I’ll just keep this in mind if any of the SP4’s need reimaged.

@MRCUR I can probably get them functional again, though I was under the impression it was addressed for 4.8 versioned kernels. Of course I’ve only built one this time around. 4.9 is literally right around the corner.

@Tom-Elliott This isn’t an urgent issue for me (I’m imaging the last SP4 right now), but I keep a SP4 w/ SP4 Type Cover so I can test in the future.

afaik the type cover has its own firmware, just a suggestion… (maybe something to old or even to new) just my 50 cent.
