Deploy Windows 10 and ClassicShell
-
Has anyone here tried to deploy Windows 10 using ClassicShell to bring back the Windows 7 Start Menu? I was thinking about using it.
-
I’d say just get used to the new style.
If you work at a school district, you’d actually be doing the students a disservice if you deployed this, because they wouldn’t be learning what the latest Windows OS really looks like and how to use it without all these other things that ClassicShell provides.

You may get a better response if you post this over on Spiceworks. There are people there that I’ve seen mention ClassicShell.
But I can tell you that most just deal with the new menu.
-
I, personally, prefer the new menu. When compared to Windows 8 (where ClassicShell came into being) it’s 100000000000000000000x better (I think.)

Also, there’s an update in the Insider program that allows you to make the menu even more Windows7-y, so that might hit the mainstream in a few months.

Hi, installing ClassicShell within an Image works, even why should it not work?
But like all the others say, i also think the win 10 startmenu is okay for me, i can deal with the tiny tile’s.Your users may should decide if they can deal with it or not, you can also deploy it as snapin if a user wants it.
