FOG Hangout 4
-
-
Just bumping this to remind people, Hangout 4 is tonight. If you’re interested, join the forums group as the announcement says.

It’s very lonely in this Hangout right now.
-
No dice here. It’s open house night at work.
on the plus side, was able to use FOG to image out 700 units in 3 hours today. Thanks, multicast and stacked switches!

Well that’s awesome!! See this, people out there using other cloning solutions. Anyone up for a race on this one?
Simply put, FOG is amazing (especially if you get multicast right).

I realize I haven’t made it to one yet, but will there be a Hangout 5?
-
@sudburr If there is enough interest, sure. I like participating in the hangouts, but the last two were discouraging as very few people showed up. The last one, only one person showed besides myself and Joe.

I think a regular predictable interval might help. Like the first Monday (or whatever) of every odd/even month. Something people can pop into without an invite.
More than just a hangout but like a (dare I say it?) mini-Genius bar for FOG. -
I also think the Hangouts should happen on the weekend.
My personal preferences would be for a “Saturday mid-evening” hangout.
My reasoning is the idea of “Before people head out to the bar, but after people have had a chance for sleeping off Friday night’s hangover”.
Sunday’s would work as well, but people are dreading (normally) the next day and less likely to be “Devoted” I think.
I really like the idea of these hangouts. While I’ve missed two of the 4, it’s usually the timing that’s caused it from my own schedule.

@Wayne-Workman I didn’t get the notifications like the first few. Forums are great, but what about social media? Facebook might work better?

@andyroo54 we made the forums group a little later, it sends out an email for anything concerning a fog hangout.
