-
Hi,
I’m running FOGCrypt in a windows 7 machine that I downloaded from the FOGServer 1.3.0 on Ubuntu 14.04 following those instructions
Open command promt(cmd)
To get to the downloads folder type cd %userprofile%\Downloads
cd FOGCrypt
FOGCrypt.exe your password >encrypted-password.txtfrom: https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php?title=FOGCrypt I’m trying to make computer join the domain, but I’m getting this error:
“FOGCrypt is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable or batch file”. I have open the command prompt as administrator, but nothing, it creates the file but it’s empty.
Please help.
Thanks!

@DEMONTECH Hi, not sure why you have that problem, but why you dont’t use the “Domain Password” instead “Domain Password Legacy”, the encrypt is automatic.
-
Not to mention, there’s no reason to use the legacy client with FOG 1.3.0 - It’s a major security vulnerability.
There are also major concerns with even entering legacy domain passwords into fog. The methods of delivery are just not secure.
Everyone needs to move to the latest release candidate of FOG, and move to the new FOG Client - and blank-out the field for legacy domain password completely.

@DEMONTECH It’s solved ?

@DEMONTECH
You need to run the Fogcrypt command passing all the path where fogcrypt file is, or add the location to path variable.
eg. “C:\Test\FogCrypt.exe” …an advice:
when you hear: “legacy client”, run in the opposite direction as fast as possible … save your life …
