IT might, There is a thread around where someone made a new server and migrated the data over. I would go that route if you have the time. Let me see if I can find it.

@Tim-Reynolds I’d highly recommend upgrading to at least Ubuntu 14.04, then running the update.

Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)

@Tom-Elliott OK. Will do. You’re talking about the SVN update after the 14.04 update, correct?

@Tom-Elliott My 10.04 errors when trying to upgrade. It is saying it can’t find us.archive.ubuntu.com. Should I build a new server and try to migrate everything to it?

@Psycholiquid Is it hard migrating all Fog data to the new server?

@Tim-Reynolds Not real sure never done it, I cant see it being to hard. But with the version switching you are doing I cant be certain.

I would not recommend upgrading a Linux distribution to a newer one. I’ve gone through it before and am less than impressed. I personally would always build a new server from scratch. But, to each their own.

Migrating data from fog isn’t overly difficult. There are a lot of places where the IP is stored, and where usernames and passwords are stored. You’d just need to hunt through all the settings and change all those. Here’s a guide:

I am having the same issue but this thread seems to have gone from hostname changing to reinstalling fog and ubuntu.

@John-Johnson Because the OP was on Ubuntu 10… Can you start a new thread?

For future readers - FOG 1.2.0 has poor support for Windows 10, and the legacy fog client that comes with FOG 1.2.0 isn’t supported on Windows 10.

To gain full support for Windows 10, GPT disks, UEFI, newer nvme type disks, SSD disks, and numerous other hardware support to include Surface Pros, and better support for non-standard partition layout, along with incredible performance improvements, new features, and security benefits,

Please install the latest FOG 1.3.0 Release Candidate, and use the new FOG Client that comes with it.
