Cloned Fog Server
-
Hi there
my first FOG-server is working great so i needed this one for another physical network (other domain) in the same XEN pool. So i cloned the first fog server to the second and i changed the .fogsettings + the DHCP settings on the server. I can reach the webinterface and i can assign tasks or images or …
But when i put a laptop in this network & i PXE-boot , he don’t find this fog server.
ARP timeout – exiting PXE boot while the client gots a IP in the same network.Any idea how i can make this work or where the problem can be?
Greetings

My guess, the IP address for this new system is not the same as the original and your DHCP server is pointing the next-server to the old IP. OR the other system is still connected and both of your fog server’s have identical IP addresses which is causing a conflict.

My guess would be what Tom already said.

Hi there guys ,
see here the settings :
Isn’t it correct? -
@boeleke You will need to go into the WebUI settings and change storage node IP as well as a few other things

Still got the problem

@boeleke edit the
/opt/fog/.fogsettings
file to have the right IPs in it, then re-run the installer and see if it works. There are some fields that are not in the DB or editable from the web interface that the installer sets an IP address in. -
Hi there wayne,
did that already :
