Attempting to expand/fill partitions Failed
-
@Wayne-Workman the model is an HP 4000 Small Form Factor. I opened the requested folders and the d1.partitions does not exist. just rec.img.000 and sys.img.000
-
@Tom-Elliott does my response to Wayne Work for your Question as well? Also, we just recently transferred the images to a new server with a new mounted HDD, but the images have worked since then.
-
@chamzod I’m about to push a fix for this. Can you get the exact picture?
-
Hopefully this is now fixed and can fix another thread with a very similar issue. Of course test and report anything so I can try to make sure things absolutely good to go.
-
Just linking the other two similar (albeit different) threads as I believe all three are somewhat related.

@Tom-Elliott Sorry to be bearer of bad news, I have just updated to 7162 and am still experiencing a similar problem with older style images. ‘Fatal error: could not remove old main partition(/bin/fog.download).’
-
@Adam-Grieger Is this image a 2 partition image? Meaning it has recovery and main? What’s output of
ls -lhart /images/<relevantImage>
. -
@Adam-Grieger Believe I got your issue sorted. Please test and report again.
-
@Tom-Elliott Just tested with 7164 and still have the same error. Yes, it is a 2 partition image. Output is as follows:
-rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 16M Sep 29 2015 rec.img.000
drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 4.0K Sep 29 2015 .
-rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 28G Sep 29 2015 sys.img.000
drwxrwxrwx 9 root root 4.0K Jan 30 11:09 …Not sure if this screenshot helps at all:
-
@Adam-Grieger do me a favor. Start the image as debug. Run through the command line
fog
When it fails and you’re back at prompt run fdisk -l /dev/sda and put out put here.
-
@Adam-Grieger And if you’re feeling spry, please update again and let me know any new/unchanging status.
Thank you,
-
-
@Tom-Elliott Sorry, posted that picture without seeing your second reply, I have updated to 7166 and this has solved the problem. Thanks for all your help!
-
@Tom-Elliott Sorry i just got back to work and
-
@chamzod please update And try again
-
@Tom-Elliott It works! You’re the best! I am still not being prompted to install/update the database schema in the WebUI.
-
@chamzod said in Attempting to expand/fill partitions Failed:
I am still not being prompted to install/update the database schema in the WebUI.
There’s not always a schema update from one trunk revision to the next.

@Wayne-Workman AHA! Thank you!
