    Hi there,

I see this question was asked 2 years ago here:

    https://forums.fogproject.org/topic/2572/fog-log-file-location/8

However the answer doesn’t seem to be applicable anymore. I tried creating a “config.ini” file in “C:\Program Files (x86)\Fog\etc” and inserting the line “logfile=c:\logs\fog.log” however the Fog Service still places its log directly at c:\fog.log.

I see also that the fog.log location is mentioned here (below) but I’ve been unable to locate a documented method to change it:

    https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php?title=Managing_FOG#Troubleshooting

Is it possible to change the location of this file?

    Thanks kindly.

Oh jeez, I just noticed the option in the service installer to “Put Log File in Root” which is one way to change it, now just wondering if there’s a supported way to specify another location.

There is no other option. The log can either be at C:\fog.log or in the installation directory.
