Boot menu
-
Hello,
since a lot of hours searching I was not able to configure the boot menu.
One of the tutorial I found said, that I have to change (add) the appropiate label in the /tftpboot/pxelinux.cfg/default
The tftpboot directory exists (all the vesamenu) but not the pxelinux.cfg.
After creating the default file, I guessed I has to work, but it didn´t. I don´t know where to search anymore, after reading a lot of pages of pxe-booting.
Can somebody say me the files I have to modify?
Thanks

if you are looking for Advanced Boot Menu, it is located on iPXE Boot Menu in FOG Configuration page in your FOG website.

I think the boot menu can be modified via the web interface on releases after 1.2.0 only.
If you want that feature, you’d need to update to the trunk developmental releases.

The menu directly can be edited in a svn but tata is correct that advanced menu will also work

Ah ok.

Thanks. With the advanced boot configuration it works fine.
If somebody doesn´t want to search, here is my solution:
- open /var/www and create a directory called (for example) isos
- put your isos into it
- go to advanced options an add your personal menu, for example
:MENU
menu
item --gap – ---------- My boot menu --------------
item Hirens Hirens Boot CD
item return go back
choose --default return --timeout 10000 target && goto ${target}:Hirens
initrd http://${fog-ip}/isos/hirens.iso
chain memdisk iso raw ||
goto MENU:return
chain http://${fog-ip}/${fog-webroot}/service/ipxe/boot.php?mac=${net0/mac} ||
prompt
goto MENUautoboot
