VM PXE boot issue
-
FOG works great for real machines. I’m attempting to create a VM image using HyperV. When it PXE boots it gives the following error:
Could not configure console: No such file or directory
Could not boot: No such file or directory
Could not boot: No

I am having a similar issue with booting a windows vm running on my Hyper-V server. My vm will boot, get ip address and then spit out the following
FYI, the Fog server is running on the Hyper-V server as the vm I am trying to pxe boot to.uhh, never had this much trouble with ESXi

Try a kernel before 3.18 and see if that helps.
The older kernels seem to work with virtual boxes and the newer ones don’t - and we aren’t sure why.
-
I’m using kernel 3.18.5 with SVN3731 for my 2012 R2 Hyper-V
I can’t get any newer kernel to work properly.
Mind you I also can’t download any other kernels right now, sourceforge appears to be hating me today.

Sourceforge is Completely dead today. Apparently they’re in a Disaster recovery mode.

That figures … and I picked today to download and cache 3.18.5 and 3.0.1 so I won’t have to worry about them anymore.
