      Hey everybody,

we got some issues with one of our laptops (Fujitsu Lifebook T901). As the headline describes is our problem that PXE enters the root path ([root@10 /]#). We have some more of these laptops, which haven’t got this problems. This picture should describe the Problem as well.

After he entered to the command line, I can give him some commands. May be the Network Card? I don’t know. Would be really nice if you could help me. When you need some more information about the laptop just ask for it. I hope my English is not too creepy … I’m from Germany and still learning English.

      Have a good one
      Mario Cz.

I’ve got the same problem with svn 3546. I get to a root@fogclient prompt after choosing to register the host. When I type ‘fog’ at the prompt, a message is displayed.

                **An error has been detected

Fatal error: Unknown request type :: Null
                **
and then it says that it will reboot in one minute

I’m no longer getting the root@fogclient prompt after updating to SVN 3549. I was able to successfully register a new host.

I have the same issue now with only one of 12 Lenovo Laptops. After typing “fog” the database was updated “Updating Computer Database Status!”. This update is not helping. What could I do?

Try deleting that one laptop from your DB via the web interface, and then try to re-register it. Also make sure there are not pending tasks for this laptop - and that it has both the wired NIC present in the DB after registration.
If you’re getting a particular error, please take a photograph of it and post it here so we can see.

What version of FOG are you using?
