Where to place init.xz and init_32.xz? Will it cause problems if I change these on an active fog server?

Thanks,
Reub

you shouldn’t need to place them anywhere. but if you’ve customized the files, the new files need to be put in <web-root>/fog/service/ipxe/

I am about to create a server with Fog version is 1.2.0 on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. I downloaded the init.xz and init_32.xz from http://sourceforge.net/projects/freeghost/files/InitList/ Can I put the init and bzImage files in the fog install folder before I install it? Will that cause any problems during or after the install?

Why are you using the InitList files for 1.2.0? The installer has it’s own files in use for this.

What are you actually trying to do?

On my current Fog server, Ubuntu 12.04 and Fog 1.2.0, I updated the bzImage files and saw that there are downloads for the the init files as well. Are we supposed to update the init files? If so, how? If not, why is there an option to download them?

Thanks,
Reub
