Hello,
I have just installed FOG and am trying to figure my way around.
I have everything installed and “working”. I have a PC that has a Basic Image on (OS, drivers, updates ect) that I successfully registered as a host device and uploaded and image of.
I also successfully downloaded the same image back on to the same device no problem.

I have a 2nd device which is the exact same hardware. I successfully registered the device (using Full the 1st time) and using the Web portal scheduled a download of the image I created off the first device. I assigned the new host to use the image I created of the 1st device.

FOG goes through the motions but does not actually download the image ( the screen goes by way to fast to see any error messages).
When I check the Task history, is simply reports success.
I have deleted the 2nd device as a host and tried repeating the steps using a quick image but FOG will not download the image.

What the heck am I doing wrong?

I don’t think that you are doing anything wrong, I think the disk may just be blank and doesn’t have a partition so fog doesn’t know what to do with it.

So lets add a partition and see how the imaging goes. Please follow the directions listed here ->http://fogproject.org/forum/threads/quick-format-to-ntfs-with-fog-for-noobs.10349/

Alternatively you can use a Windows install disk and let it format the drive, cancel installation and let it run through fog again, either way there needs to be a partition on the disk before you attempt to push to the disk.

You will need to recreate the download task on the fog server for the host in question.

I re-uploaded the image as a Single Disk (NTFS Only). and now I can download the image to similar hardware.
