As far as I can see there is nothing but the wiki showing how to do a proper prep for imaging. The links for the client download and the prep are only accessible typing in http://<fogserver address/hostman>/fog/client/.

Shouldn’t there be at least a link to get to this page from the management?

I know its dumb but it seems like it should already be a link in something like “Host Management” or at least “FOG Settings”.

I guess this is one of those unspoken rules of FOG. I believe there should be some more documentation on the fog client, or at least on its location.

It would be nice to have a reminder link someplace on the web GUI so you could download it to the machine you are working on, but I don’t think this is a make or break feature, maybe something Tom could sneak in on us.

This has been added, you’re all welcome. I even made it so it stay’s within the confines of the working system. Meaning, if you’re logged into fog, you still see the menu’s and can just click on the menu links after downloading the file(s) you need.

Please help us build the FOG community with everyone involved. It's not just about coding - way more we need people to test things, update documentation and most importantly work on uniting the community of people enjoying and working on FOG! Get in contact with me (chat bubble in the top right corner) if you want to join in.

Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)
