Fogservice is transferring a lot of network data > 100gbs in the last 30 days on computers running Windows 11

There are no scheduled or active tasks in Fog. Multiple computers in the same lab are having this problem. Looking for assistance troubleshooting.

I’ve created a fresh image to use, and will see if a freshly imaged computer still has this issue.

The FOGService constantly checks in with the server for any changes made in the web GUI, I’d recommend turning it off after you domain join a device. I pushed this regkey via group policy and it seems to have fixed our issue with the web GUI getting bogged down with requests.

        Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\FOGService
        Look for the Start DWORD

I Like being able to deploy software to the remote clients from time to time so disabling the fogservice isn’t an option for us.
What we did is change the “CLIENT CHECKIN TIME” under fog settings in the console so it doesn’t check in so often.

@Greg-Plamondon @iljared98 Thank you for the input. We haven’t seen the issue reoccur after deploying a fresh image to these computers. If it crops back up, I will try your suggestions.
