Hi, we are using FOG 1.5.9, when using Deploy it works fine.

If we use Multicast with 5 PCs it works fine.

But when placing more than 10 PCs with multicast, some PCs fail, the others continue without problems.

    I appreciate the help.

Attached image of error that gives.

@mikmatcr Well that sound interesting. I can’t see how the failures (in the pictures) would be caused by using multicast but well, let’s try to figure it out.

Please start off by deploying to single machines, exactly the ones that failed on multicasting before. Do they deploy properly? If yes, then do a multicast with the very same 10 machines three times in a row and note down if it’s always the same machines failing or if it’s random.

Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)

Hello, yes, after they fail I use Deploy on it and they do it well, it’s only with Multicast, the error it shows is not clear to me what it can be.

        Thank you

@mikmatcr I don’t remember seeing such an issue being caused on multicast with FOG. So I am wondering if it’s just a rare case causing it or if it might be the hardware used.

Can you replicate the same issue/errors again when multicasting to the same machines?

@sebastian-roth We tried with FOG 1.5.7 and the Deply works fine, the error gives us when using FOG 1.5.9

Hello, we still have the same problem. After using multicast it gives us error 39 premature.

With Deploy this does not happen!

We use FOG 1.5.9 installed with git

@mikmatcr If this only ever happens on multicast deploys we should start looking at those logs I reckon. Please upload all the log files you find in /var/log/fog/ that have multicast in their filename.

Though I am not much optimistic we’ll find the issue in multicasting. I say this because in the pictures we see errors at various points in the deployment process. That points to hardware issues on those machines I would guess. Maybe dying hard drives or memory or whatever.
