    Hi wonderful fog people

    fog version 1.5.9

Device-2: Realtek RTL8111/8168/8411 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet driver: r8169
IF: enp85s0 state: down mac: e8:6c:c7:72:04:54

    no configuration methods succeeded (http://ipxe.org/040ee186)

The BIOS doesn’t allow the change to Legacy, so in UEFI mode

    I’ve tried realtek.efi, no luck

There’s one other similar post on the forum but doesn’t appear to be resolved

Anything I can try to troubleshoot?

@Pikmin Have you tried snponly.efi yet?

If that doesn’t help, try buildung iPXE from the latest source code: https://forums.fogproject.org/post/141618

Web GUI issue? Please check apache error (debian/ubuntu: /var/log/apache2/error.log, centos/fedora/rhel: /var/log/httpd/error_log) and php-fpm log (/var/log/php*-fpm.log)

Please support FOG if you like it: https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php/Support_FOG

        @sebastian-roth

I’ve tried snponly.efi and it takes me to the boot menu

I’ve rebuilt the iPXE from source using your instructions and it’s working properly now

        Thank you very much

Just for clarity on this, I want to say what I think I read here.

          1. The version of iPXE shipped with FOG 1.5.9 does not work with this ACER.
          2. You needed to rebuild iPXE with the current release using the instructions provided by Sebastian

If that is correct, does snponly.efi only work, or will the recompiled version of ipxe.efi work too with this Acer?

Please help us build the FOG community with everyone involved. It's not just about coding - way more we need people to test things, update documentation and most importantly work on uniting the community of people enjoying and working on FOG!
