FOG Network boot problem ACPI Error and IP Not Found

ok thanks
-
Tried it. Didn’t work.
-
@chris178 Can you explain you set up to me a bit.
-
@agray Still looking at DHCP settings and options. Looks like our options were reversed (66 and 67) (Win Server 2008). Hopefully this will fix it, but I need to test. I will update after I know more. Thanks.

@chris178 said in FOG Network boot problem ACPI Error and IP Not Found:
FOG version:1.4.4
You are using a kind of old version and I guess the network interface card you have in the Lenovo m920q is simply not included in the kernel provided with your version of FOG.
Any chance you can update this setup or spin up a fresh new server with the current version of FOG?

Just cross linking this here: https://forums.fogproject.org/topic/13341/fog-registration-for-dell-optiplex-3630-errors

@Sebastian-Roth Sure I can do that. Can you point me in the right direction to update the kernel? (Never done it before)I’ve already made a backup of the server so it shouldnt be an issue if something goes wrong.
-
@chris178 First you will need to fix a bug in 1.4.4 where the built in kernel update program doesn’t work correctly.
From the FOG server’s linux command prompt key in the following.
sudo chmod -R 777 /var/www/fog/service/ipxe
If that one errors out because path not found then run this one
sudo chmod -R 777 /var/www/html/fog/service/ipxe
once that is done, then in the Web UI go to Fog Configuration->Kernel Update. You will probably want to download 4.19.36 both the 64 bit and 32 bit versions.

@george1421 ok I’ll give it a try. Thanks again.

@george1421 Just wanted to let you know that I updated to the latest kernel as suggested and it worked! Not sure if anyone else has the same issue, but now we can image about 630 PCs! You guys rock!
