Hi,

I can successfully use fog with other motherboards as it will detect LAN and HDD.

However with this motherboard, it won’t find the LAN drive or HDD when I goto copy, or even when I see if its compatible it says its not.

Have also tried a few kernels too.

    Any idea?

    Thanks in advance

see if you can find out the LAN chipset. Check the BIOS settings for the HDD to see if it’s set to something FOG doesn’t support. You may have to revert to legacy BIOS if it’s using EUFI/GPT or you may have to take it out of RAID mode and set it to SATA/AHCI

        Hi,

I have tried that for the HDD already (well setting it to SATA/AHCI)

Whats the easiest way to find the LAN chipset?

The drivers can be found here: http://www.gigabyte.com.au/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4150&dl=#ov

        Thanks

You could try and use a separate network card in the machine and see, if that works. I’ve experienced issues, when trying to PXE boot Dell Optiplex 780 machines. It has never worked with the onboard LAN port yet for some reason.

            Hi,

It can boot into PXE, but FOG wont pick it up.

I do around 5 - 10 systems a day and really wanted to avoid having to put a network card in them as there is an on-board one

            Thanks

              Try a USB ethernet connection?
