    • Drivers not found after image

I have several images that have ‘stopped working’ here recently. One image hasn’t been touched in two years and when I imaged the computer it would not recognize ANY device that I plugged into it.

Yesterday I made and uploaded a brand new image for a LAT 6410 and then imaged the SAME computer with the SAME image. If I plug in ANY device windows tells me the driver cannot be found. This has happened to my 5500, 6400, 6410, and some other OptiPlex images.

I REALLY don’t think FOG is doing this . . more likely a Windows issue, but I want to cover my bases.

    • RE: Last check in time

I can find inactive accounts in AD, that’s simple. I need to find a relatively easy way to compare that to the inventory that FOG outputs. Then I will be able to tell which hosts I need to delete from FOG and/or AD.

As I said the easiest way would be for FOG to report when the last time hosts checked in which should be rather simple utilizing the FOG client.

    • RE: Bugs in FOG 0.33

We don’t sysprep for the pure fact that we don’t trust our users to make it through the first boot process. . it’s much easier to make an image for a certain model, setup everything just the way we want it and let FOG/Active Directory do everything Post-first boot.

    • Last check in time

I know you can already see the last time a user has logged into certain machines. I would love a feature that shows the last time a computer has checked in, and even the possibility to delete machines that haven’t checked in with the server in X days. I manage a LOT of computers, about 1500 with one other person and sometimes between people swapping laptops year to year (education) and the lack of support we have it makes it hard to keep AD and FOG current and updated. If it could delete said computers from AD as well that would be great 😉

    • RE: Host Monitor shows Host Down

I have noticed however, that most of the time when my Windows 7 hosts are ‘up’. The icon shows the red bubble with an exclamation point in it. Not just the red bubble signaling host is down.

^^-----Opening port 7 UDP inbound on my windows machines doesn’t work as stated. . Like Mark says the only time I see a Windows 7 host as ‘up’ is when it hasn’t booted to windows and the firewall has been started.

    • Fog .33 client

Will the FOG .33 client work with fog .32 ? I’m curious because I’m not sure when .33 will be officially released and I’d really like the reduced deploy time of the snap-ins included in the .33 client.
