Ok, thanks for responses, rolduz youre right, in fact i can change my W10 key like say george in my fake machine, those are installed with hte last key are upto date dant need to be reinstalled in fact. All new machine ad in group take the new key. so its fine. i have found a trick for dont have to touch my snapins. i made a snapin group Base with the very best of essential. and made some extra group for office soft with licences, opensource, special group for researcher equip etc… i have tested with a machine and she take 2 group with differents snapins in each group if that works i think there is no problem to add a machine to 4 groups.
this is solved my worry.

too much problem with migrations and database and plugins.
whatever, because the new interface of working 1.6 looks like nicely and because one day 1.6 will arrive, i decide to reinstalled a frech one fogproject. i have just imported my hosts. because in my last update i haved some hash not matching when snapins deployment; i decide to create all snapins again. But i noticed that fogproject 1.6 dont work like other versions.

i got a snapin error when i try to upload:

Type: 2, File: /var/www/fog/lib/fog/fogssh.class.php, Line: 102, Message: ssh2_sftp(): Unable to startup SFTP subsystem: Timeout waiting for response from SFTP subsystem, Host: 162.38.197.130, Username: fogproject

hi georges, persitent groups still working on 1.5.10 ? i have some isssues

Finaly i have reinstalled my server again and just take exports from all sections (snapins, images etc…)

only gruops not working. nevermind ill setup again.

the problem was about the whole configuration with ISCSI disk attach, now i use an NFS and directly mount my image storage on /image.

works like a charm.

Hi,
i have a Fog server in production for my laboratory. my team mate have installed this server with an ISCSI disk for images and snapins.

unfortunely the NAS who hang the ISCSI is too old and diying. So i have reinstall a fresh one with NFS share instead ISCSI.

i have backuped and resored the DATABASE ans now after some problem to redefine properly the /image (with a link to my /mnt/share) the image deployment works like a charm. For the snapis is not. i have tried some rsolutions:

• redefine the certificate because the name has changed.
• verify the .srv private key and the public (now it’s the same):

i understand. so now i have modified the .zip with my script.sh . and selected snapin pack mode.
Now i see the snapin correctly copied on my ubuntu in /opt/fog-service/tmp:

but still an error : unable to run module

if i try ’ ll ’ command, i see that the script is not executable !

how fog-Agent launch the script ? :
I mean the fog-Agent run the script in root ? or like windows i need to setup a specefic user ?
and the fog-Agent change the script to executable script ?

i try to understand how scripts .sh are launch in linux with client mono.

I have installed mono succesfully, service runing, certificate ok on fog.log:
status check-in for my machine when snapin is launched on server, so the comunication works.

on fog server i launch a single snapin install,and the result on fog.log is:
error code 126

i think my problem come from my setup on my snapin. i usually made snapins for windows, and i always setup the password of the account that have the right on my machine. ( just after my .ZIP).
Here when i setup bash type in Template, i can’t add a password. ( field grey ).
here is my snapin setup:

in the zip folder there is my ScriptAgent.sh

is the correct way to made a snapin for linux for a .sh script ?

How fog agent from mono can use a root account ? and how to give the password of root eventually ?

and last question, fog client can made may script executable too ?
