Doing a raw I can tell it to grab the d1p1.img or d1p2.img and it will download that partition that was created. So to me it seems like some kind of linkage file is somehow missing that would command the workstation to grab the first one then the second one. The first one being that like 25meg thing it creates before the actually image.

RE: Downgrade to 0.32
So I’ve determined that it can’t read the volume. When I change the image type to RAW I get a screen that says Volume not found Can’t read the following volume file: /images/755stud14/755stud14 Enter another full path(directory & name)
I checked on the server and /images/755stud14 exists. There are three files in it. d1.mbr d1p1.img d1p2.img
Any help would be greatly appreciated I just would really like to get this solved before the weekend or I’m going to have to recreate all my images for next school year and I really don’t want to do that. -
Downgrade to 0.32
How is the best way to downgrade to 0.32 Ever since I’ve update to 1.0 and now 1.1.0 I can’t get any workstation to pulldown images. I’m able to upload them. I would just like to downgrade and sometime in the future when I have more free time I’ll try the upgrade again. I did the install for 0.32 just like you would normally do and it installed just fine but when you go the webportal it wants to do the part where it updates the database and it just times out or the next screen loads but blank. After trying this I reupgraded to 1.1.0 so I could get at least logged back into FOG. By the way if you are wondering what it is is doing when you try to download a image it goes through everything like normal it gets to the part right before the actual image is downloading and it just reboots and shows that the task completed. Help either way would be greatly appreciated. It’s summertime I have student workstations to reimage!

RE: Error received from TFTP server
I changed the Option 67 to what you said and now I’m able to upload my images and such but it is way to slow. My upload is like 436MB where as before it was a little over a Gig. Anyway to fix this or have I made my FOG server pretty much unusable now?

RE: FOG 1.0.1 Released
Just updated and wanted to say thanks for all the hard work! I was wondering does it now work where I can set a certain group to a certain resolution and have that group change? It doesn’t seem to be working.

RE: Dell Optiplex 755
Ok, so an update this is the latest I’ve been able to figure out. I’m up to about 5 workstations that are giving me this issue. This is what I’ve came to as the issue, I’m getting this message “disk /dev/sdb doesn’t contain a valid partition table.” Has anyone seen this before and if so how do you format the drive to get a valid partition table?

RE: Dell Optiplex 755
Alright so a update. BIOS makes no difference. Took one of the “bad drives” and put in one of the workstations that is working and it can’t image it. The workstation with the “good” drive can boot just fine. I’m afraid to try to image the “good drive” in the “bad workstation” because I don’t have but 1 or 2 extra drives right now. Any suggestions would be great.

RE: Dell Optiplex 755
Going to do some more testing it may be a BIOS issue. The TWO now that I have that are messing up have BIOS version A10 while the ones that are working just fine are A09. Going to try to downgrade one of the 10 ones and will report back.

Dell Optiplex 755
Having a little bit of a issue. I just got some Dell Optiplex 755’s in. Imaged the first couple no problem. Third one it will act like it is going to start pulling down the image and just reboots. I thought weird I’ll try a different kernel, no different. Then I thought well I’ll do the compatibility test and the drive fails. Must be a bad drive then. Swap the drive and run the test it passes. Then go to pull the image it does the same thing no good. So after that I run the test again and this time the test fails. So somehow FOG is nuking drives in certain 755’s. After this workstation I hooked up another one and no problem imaged just fine. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
