Quick update all task, but the snapin task all or single will start or even show under active task or snapin task.
also they are all at different sites and and they only talk to each other when I need to copy an image from one to another.

Now that I ran this it cleared the errors but when I try to assign a task now it will not show under active task or snapin task.

Thanks I will try it what is the easist way to check the revision I just did an update this morning so I know it is recent. I just was testing pusing out some snapins and it says successfully deployed, but then on the client side it says it has an image task waiting so I have to cancel the task under active task and usually they deploy but now its giving me that error instead.
I am thinking a task is corrupt in the database is there anyway to go in and clear out all task that may be pending?

Ok so I figured out the memtest thing if you do it from the PXE boot menu it works, but if you deplay it from a basic task it gives you the error I told you about. Also for the host name changer I think I just had to encrypt my password in fog… but thats just what I remeber. I have to build another server so I will go through my steps again and report everything I did to get it working. I am trying the surface test in a VM as of now and it says…

Just an update I got host name changer to work… also my images are working successfully. but hostname changer only works for me after the image and not before. It even changes the name on the computer if the name in the database is changed.
But I do have a question for you Tom, When trying to do a memtest from fog I get the following error “cannot load ramdisk with an old kernel image” and also when doing a hard drive surface test it says checking for bad blocks (red-only test): but does not look like its going any where I have been waiting an hour so far and nothing…
Question should the host name changer and joining a domain work by default?
the machine is imaging now I will test some more and let you know.
No I think I figured out why I dropped the database and reinstalled fog. then when I re-added my image on the machine i notice I was using a lower case w and not a Cap W.
Hey Tom I have been having nothing but trouble with fog and hyper - V I finally got the machine to regester to the fog data base but now when I go to the Web gui to look at the computer I get this error

Hey tom I have a question I am trying to build a VM using hyper v and I am running into two distanct issues one being that none of the vm’s are finishing the host
inventory it stops at the sending to inventoey . so it does add it to fog so I just restart the machine then it picks up the image task and images the VM when lt finishes it does not boot to the os it boots back into the fog tftp and says no active task found for hostname any ideas on how to fix this
Ok Should I try to contact him. It seems like everything is working but the remote sites will not register to the database the local machines work fine its just the remote ones.
