Migrating fog 1.5.10 from old to new server (old to new OS)
I will be building a new server as I think I am now really pushing the edges with Ubuntu 16.04.6. Would you know how easy is it to copy over the settings from the old fog server to the new one bearing in mind that they will be the same version. Or is better just to start again? I have lots of settings and groups etc etc.

RE: IPXE not loading
@ikt_le Hi, not sure what system you are using for DHCP but if it is windows please have a look at the guide below
https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php/BIOS_and_UEFI_Co-Existence follow this, but please add the fog server IP to option 66. Also if you have subnets you need to complete this on each subnet scope on the dhcp server. Also if you have 2 DHCP servers you must do it on each one and on each subnet (unless is copies over properly between the servers, mine didn’t last time i set it up) -
RE: FOG With more than 1 subnet
Same here as for George1421 there may be some config required on the network for broadcast traffic and also helpers to get the required traffic between subnets.
What was the issue you are having? Not that I can answer your question but someone might be able to help with more info.

RE: FOG 1.5.10 officially released
@george1421 Hi George, sorry buddy it is a typo, its 16.04.6 LTS Xenial Xerus. Thanks for getting back to me, just for info I took Sabastian’s advice and took a snapshot of the server and installed1.5.10 and all seems ok for now. I will however look to upgrade to the latest LST version.

@Sebastian-Roth Hi Sabastian. Yes you are correct 16.04.6 LTS Xenial Xerus, well I took your advice and created a snapshot of the virtual server. Installed 1.5.10 and so far all seems well, I will let you know, but …

RE: Cannot install a CA Certificate
@sebastian-roth HI Sebastian, do you think you could take a look at this thread and help Fabiano , I am out of ideas.
-
RE: Cannot install a CA Certificate
@fabiano-matos can you ping the fog server from the client PC?
-
RE: Cannot install a CA Certificate
@fabiano-matos this is what worked for us buddy::
OK I am just very stupid, My apologies everyone. However. this might be a great opportunity to help others. Please when installing the client, in the box that says Fog Server, make sure you clear the box (the word FogServer) and enter the IP of your Fog Server then click next. The easy thing to do is just click next on the install, that’s when you get the CA error as it has no idea where the fog server is.

RE: Fog not renaming - Strange error
@sebastian-roth HI Sabastian, sorry buddy the answer is staring me in the face, the domain password appears to be missing.

RE: Fog not renaming - Strange error
@sebastian-roth Hi Sebastián, please see enclosed, although penned out the correct details are there

RE: Fog not renaming - Strange error
@sebastian-roth Hi Sebastian, yes, well I would assume so, as they have all renamed and joined the domain in the past, they are actually on the domain, just need to be renamed.

Fog not renaming - Strange error
Hi all, we have been using fog to image, join the domain and rename PCs. This has worked brilliantly. We have 2 suites that needed a further new name, so this we entered onto the Host record in Fog. The name change is not taking effect, the change is registered in the fog client but we get the below error, Anyone got any ideas how to fix it, or what we did wrong?

RE: Snapins are empty
I have found it, you cant see the advanced tasks from the task menu, but if you go into hosts, list all host, select the PC you want, then click Basic Tasks, then advanced, the options are all there. Thanks everyone. I just needed to ask the right question. @Wayne-Workman @george1421

RE: Snapins are empty
@wayne-workman Hi Wayne, its not the boot options , they are missing from the fog GUI i was sure I could go to a tab in the GUI that listed things like mem check, fog wipe and a few others, maybe is an extra that i need to install onto fog?
