After re-storing my server back to a working state I tried changing all the files mentioned. I still get the same error. Does it make a difference if I am on SQL 5.1 vs 5.5?

RE: Upgrade Problems
So what I do is go to the Fog_1.2.0/bin run ./installfog.sh The install starts, I accept the DHCP information with Y. I get a message saying “We are about to install MySQL Server on this server, if MySQL isn’t installed already you will be prompted for a root password.” “Press enter to acknowledge this message.” So I press enter. Then it tells me to open my browser to install/update your database schema. So I go into the browser to do that and that is when it tells me it failed.

RE: Upgrade Problems
I edited .fogsettings per your recommendation. I tried to re-run and it failed, I restarted it still failed, I cleared the cache in the browser just to be safe and it still failed. I am sorry for the bad news. Thanks!

RE: Upgrade Problems
Thank you Tom for you reply. I was able to fix my first issue with the ip address being wrong within the .fogsettings file. As far as my second issue I am still having problems, even after entering the fields you stated. Other thoughts?
Thanks!

Upgrade Problems
Upgrading from 0.32 to 1.2.0 on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS. This used to be a physical machine and about two years ago I converted it to a VM. I believe my first issue is due to the conversion. Anyways when upgrading it says… “You still need to install/update your database schema. This can be done by opening a web browser and going to: XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX” Anyways that IP address is still the old one. Issue #2. When I go to the current IP Address/fog/management it brings up the Database Schema Installer / Updater. When I go to upgrade it fails with a huge report. Any insight as to what is happening and how to fix is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

RE: Upload Issue
JBaril,
In BIOS I changed it to UEFI and IDE. I then went ahead and re-installed WIN 7, deleting partitions, formatting, and installing. Once that was done I checked to see if it would upload and it did. I proceeded to build the rest of the image and upload again and it still worked. So give it a shot changing the BIOS settings then re-installing Windows 7.

RE: Upload Issue
Nothing else errors out, I have figured out it is not permission issues. I have tried both uploading a hard drive set to AHCI and to IDE in the BIOS. When I first set it up I get rid of all the partitions, format it and then it creates a 100 MB one then the main one.

RE: Upload Issue
I also have Acer Aspire V5 ultra books that it does not work with. Otherwise this week I have uploaded 4 images.

Upload Issue
I have a HP ProBook 4540s that comes stock with Windows 8. I am able to upload the Windows 8 image with no problems at all. I put Windows 7 on the machine and then try to upload and will get a unable to move /images/dev/mac to /images/image name. Any ideas?
Thanks.

RE: Acer V5 wont upload image
I am still having issues with my original problem.
When I try to upload an image with a new Acer V5-121 I get an error:
“Fatal Error: Disk device not found!”
I have also seen:
“Unable to copy /images/dev/mac to /images/mac”It does not seem to be a permissions issue since I have been uploading and deploying images since this issue occurred.

RE: Acer V5 wont upload image
I was able to make a kernel but since I have no idea what I need to check for drivers it did not work.
Any thoughts in what selections I might have to make? Thanks for all of your help so far Jaymes.

RE: Acer V5 wont upload image
The HDD is a Toshiba MQ01ABF032. I have tried it with both IDE and AHCI Mode, I have also tried Legacy BIOS and UEFI. I also have tried two different versions of Kitchen Sink, and a couple versions of Core kernels. I can try building my own kernel but I never have done that before.

Acer V5 wont upload image
When I try to upload an image with a new Acer V5-121 I get an error:
“Fatal Error: Disk device not found!”
I have also seen:
“Unable to copy /images/dev/mac to /images/mac”I have been looking around for a while now and have found no solution. I read that it could be a permissions issue but I am able to upload images from other devices, I am also able to deploy images to devices.
A little bit about the Acer V5, preloaded with 8. I have tried uploading one with 7 and one with 8. I also updated the bios on one of them with no luck.
Thanks in advance!
