• RE: How to add live cd iso to Fog 1.2 on Ubuntu 12.04

Amazing!!

I have tried to do something similar in my FOG server and works fine!

FOG server: 1.2.0 latest SVN installed
Operating System: Ubuntu 13.10 latest updates installed

1. I have understood very well your tutorial. Congratulations!
2. I have added a new menu entry in FOG boot menu (it is very easy I think)
3. Reading your notes, I have added a Live Ubuntu CD 14.04.2 i386 and it runned ok on client machine.

Thank you!

Operating system: Ubuntu Desktop 13.10 i386 32 bits
FOG Server: 1.2.0
SVN: 3306

Since I updated this weekend to this SVN there is no posibility to see the kernel list (Published and Old Published). I can see the Unofficial kernels.

Any help will be very useful. Meanwhile, I will update to the latest SVN.

Any help will be very useful. Thanks!
Do you know what kernel/init are loading? My guess is it’s loading a 32 bit setup. Can you try an hour earlier kernel such as 3.18.0x86?
Hi Tom & All People!

I have updated my FOG server to this kernel (Unofficial Kernel):

Unofficial Published Kernels
Kernel - 3.18.4 TomElliott
Date : January 30, 2015
Version: 3.18.4
FOG Type: TomElliott
Arch Type: (x86)

And does not work, too. Today I have updated to the latest SVN update (3306) and I have found this when I see the kernels available, too:

Hello!

I have a FOG server 1.2.0 latest SVN and kernel update of Linux image with Ubuntu 13.10. I have no way to create an image of a laptop Latitude D505 with XP installed.

When it runs the upload task, appears something similar like this:
“Fail in Line 17” at “…fog/scripts/bin/fog.statusreporter”
When the Linux image tries to boot and I see the differents commands running appears a line with “Illegal instruction”.

But I do not understand. You say that a D505 with 1.2.0 it works (so with 1.2.0 with latest SVN would work, right?).

I will wait for answers, if posible. Thank you very much!

• RE: Hostname exists when it doesn't

Hello people!

Recently I had a similar problem. My FOG solution is:

• FOG version 1.2.0 revision 3246
• Ubuntu Desktop 13.10 i386

Working with Hosts Management section, creating a host, erasing this host and again creating the host with same MAC I had the trouble that FOG said me that this hostname already exists. In the Host Management section did not appear the host.

The solution is like Tom says. Thank you Tom!!

For me, deleting the registers in fog database with the wrong host (wrong means the created, then deleted and then tried to create) in host and hostMAC table was the solution.

1. I searched how to manipulate fog database.
2. I used phpMyAdmin (searching directly with Ubuntu Software Center).
3. Then I configure to get access to the fog database (I used blank password in mysql).
4. Edit /etc/phpmyadmin/config.inc.php
Uncomment this line:

$cfg[‘Servers’][$i][‘AllowNoPassword’] = TRUE;

Save file.
5. Finally, search the tables host and hostMAC and delete the wrong host registers.

I hope it helps. See you,

T. Capablo.
