RE: Kernel for Ubuntu 64 bit
@george1421 Fog version 6179
Booting in bios mode, Bios is up to date.
Before I had fog 3.1 on Ubuntu 10.1 - there were no issues.
Thank you for your patience.

RE: Kernel for Ubuntu 64 bit
Thank you all,
First, the target is Dell OptiPlex 990.
Here is my confusion: I installed the trunk svn from the link that is on wiki. When checking fog configuration it states:
You are currently running version: 6098
Latest stable version is 1.2.0
Latest svn version is 4754
Latest git version is 6179if I installed the svn version, should it say 4754?
I tried the SVN UP command (found on wiki), and I did not get upgraded.
Can someone please can clarify this and provide instructions how to upgrade?
Thanks,
Tom

Kernel for Ubuntu 64 bit
Hello all,
SVN 6098/Ubuntu 14.4 LTS (64 bit)
Just completed the setup. When trying to preform quick registration, received "Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(1,0).
From what I’ve read here, it seems that I need to change to 64 bit kernel. I also saw an article from Tom Elliott, but I am not sure if that kernel compatible with my FOG version.
https://wiki.fogproject.org/wiki/index.php/Build_TomElliott_KernelAny help, clarification and solutions will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you,
Tom

RE: Database Schema Installer / Updater
@Wayne-Workman So, I have decided to start fresh, I installed Ubuntu 14.04.3 and fog 1.2.0 ( It was my understanding that the trunk is beta version).
My issue now is that the host is not booting to PXE.
Set correctly opt 66 and 67 (undionly.kpxe) and tried to work with dnsmasq, but I cannot figure this out.
I can get to the management console via IE over the network.
Should I start a new thread?Thanks,
Tom

@george1421 Thank you for the advice. My knowledge about Ubuntu and FOG is very basic. Can you provide more info (step by step would be great) how to accomplish this?
Thank you very much,

RE: Database Schema Installer / Updater
@Wayne-Workman Thank you, I went through the troubleshooting steps and could not figure out what’s wrong.
I’m going to revert back and start over.
Does anyone have instructions on how to do it and what to look for?
Is there anything I should do pre and post upgrade? Thanks,
Tom

RE: Database Schema Installer / Updater
@Thiago Thank for the advice, Unfortunately, it did not help. I’m a bit frustrated.
Since it’s VM, I’m ready to revert back and try this upgrade again. -
Database Schema Installer / Updater
Hello,
Completed in place upgrade fog on Ubuntu.
Fog version 0.31 on Ubuntu 10.11 to fog 1.2.0 on Ubuntu 12.04
All seems to run ok with no issues.
When trying to update the database schema it fails.0_1453211200571_Errors.pdfAttached the log as pdf.
I tried suggestions that I found here, but the issue was not resolved for me.

In the fog settings, there is Capone setting section.
