    • RE: Invalid Multicast session

      Found the secondary issue of the “multicast session is invalid”.

      Basically I missed one point by not including a space where it needed one.

      This is now (properly) fixed and patched up so people doing fresh installs will be fine, and people doing upgrades (that had the issue originally) will magically be fixed when they install the latest (when rc 20 gets pushed).

    • RE: Storage ID 0 is not valid / A valid database connection could not be made

      Remoted in and found that the server was in fairly funky state.

      It is ubuntu 12.04, and while we typically recommend to update, this particular issue was simply due to ondrej attempting to install php 7, but the packages variable on fogsettings was pre-labelled as php 5. Removed the packages variable and php/apache on the node, updated the php version stored in the fogsettings, reinstalled ondrej, and re-ran installer .

    • RE: Adding needed repository Failed!

      @Oleg From the looks of that, you used php_ver=7 not php_ver=‘7.0’ (am I correct?)

    • RE: Adding needed repository Failed!

      As the repo has changed, I’ve updated the code base to not try using the php5-5_6 repo anymore. It will delete all ondrej and reinstall the ppa using only php as the repo.

      Hopefully this will be put to rest then?

      This is re-released as RC-20. Please repull/svn up and install and hopefully this will be fixed for you. My testing appears it is working.

      @Oleg Did you remove the packages line from the /opt/fog/.fogsettings file?

      Nowhere else, I don’t think, you can get a viable response time in under a minute.

      @dholtz-docbox this makes me wonder if ufw is running? I don’t know why buy it almost seems, to me, the local link is restricting to a socket, not allowing connection via TCP.

      Can you post the contents of your MySQL config file? I don’t know where it will be located. Typically it’s under /etc/mysql/my.cnf or /etc/my.cnf, but it is Ubuntu.

      Location is:

      FOG Configuration Page->FOG Settings->TFTP Server-> FOG_TFTP_PXE_KERNEL FOG_PXE_BOOT_IMAGE

      Just change bzImage and init.xz to bzImage32 and init_32.xz respectively.

      You created the image as non-resizable. That means it must go on a disk at least the size of the originating system.

      @finvader
      The mac address labeled folder is typically ONLY when you’re imaging. ro should actually read rw for the dev line.

      You should not need to have /home/images and /home/images/dev if your /images is a symbolic link to the /home/images point.

    • RE: Unable to add new snapin

      @x23piracy It’s solved because the issue doesn’t exist. I believe the problem is FTP permissions or credentials as to the reason why it’s not working. There is also the possiblity the temp folder is unable to be written to. Too many variables, but not something that fog is directly causing.

    • RE: Unable to add new snapin

      @Wayne-Workman Precisely.

      The guess I have? PHP FPM is the issue, why, because last week we switched the ondrej stuff becuase they changed.

      But again, this is not a bug in FOG. This is a change in OS and Repo structure which is already “corrected” for.

    • RE: ntfsresize & ssd Intel PRO 5400 series

      Just a heads up. I tested upload with working-RC-24 and 1.3.0-RC-13 and am not seeing an issue.

      I can only think, possibly, the disk is setup in ‘raid’ through the bios and it’s presenter still display’s /dev/sda to the system. Another potential, I suppose, could be the disk is completely empty? I’m only guessing of course.

      The change I put in for maintaining ntfsresize is still working properly from what I can see. So it’s failing, from what I can tell, appropriately. Again, I’ll need more info to more suitably help I think. I mean, this could potentially happen because it’s fragmented and can’t move data around (testing) to find the size that can shrink to.
